Brig. Gen. James Muscatell, 403rd Wing commander, took his last flight in the Air Force May 6 as he flew a group of Mississippi Gulf Coast residents home from the 403rd Wing's annual Civic Leader Tour. The tour departed May 5 from Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., where General Muscatell and the civic leaders toured Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, N. Y. Upon return, General Muscatell invited one of the civic leaders, Don Evans, a former Army paratrooper, to sit on the flight deck with him for a portion of the flight. Team members from the 403rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron celebrate after winning the 403rd Wing fire truck pull Oct. 1. The maintainers pulled the 32,000-pound truck 50 feet in 26.22 seconds. The fire truck pull, sponsored by the 403rd Wing Human Resources Development Council and the Rising VI, was a fun way to highlight the importance of teamwork before the wing’s Operational Readiness Inspection in January 2012. Staff Sgt. Brandon Martin (right), 403rd Civil Engineers Squadron firefighter, digs in his heels as he and his teammates pull a P19 aircraft rescue firefighting truck 50 feet during the 403rd Wing fire truck pull.
