General's last flight
Brig. Gen. James Muscatell, 403rd Wing commander, took his last flight in the Air Force May 6 as he flew a group of Mississippi Gulf Coast residents home from the 403rd Wing's annual Civic Leader Tour. The tour departed May 5 from Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., where General Muscatell and the civic leaders toured Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, N. Y. Upon return, General Muscatell invited one of the civic leaders, Don Evans, a former Army paratrooper, to sit on the flight deck with him for a portion of the flight. Because of his Army job as a paratrooper, Mr. Evans had never been on board an aircraft during landing until General Muscatell's fini flight May 6. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Tanya King)
