Col. Stuart Rubio, 403rd Wing commander, goes to "work" in the fabrication flight to get acquainted with the sheet metals and welding aspects of the job. The Not-So-Undercover boss was given tutorials on how to perform the job task of installing a nutplate on a piece of extrusion, which is a simulated piece of aircraft structure, utilizing solid rivets and hand rivet squeezers and then completed those tasks with supervision from the subject matter experts like Master Sgt.
