Desert Storm 25 years later

In 1991, then U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Ronald Patton was a member of VFA-151, stationed at Atsugi, Japan, when his unit was notified they were deploying to the Gulf to support Operation Desert Shield. More than 4,500 military members served aboard the USS Midway from November 1990 to March 1991 in support of Operations Desert Shield and Storm. Patton separated from the Navy in 1992 and joined the Air Force Reserve’s 403rd Wing at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, in 2007.
