KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- Senior Airman Sean Delcambre, 403rd Fabrication Flight metals technician, adjusts the lathe as he prepares use a drill bit to smooth out the edges of an aluminum rod. A lathe is a machine that can be used for cutting, drilling and molding different materials into a varity of shapes. For the past two years, the Citizen Airmen at the 403rd Fabrication Flight sheet metal shop have been welding together aluminum rods of various lengths to fashion life preserver racks for the wing's C-130Js. Airman Delcambre said constructing the racks is a time-consuming process. Out of the 48 rack scheduled to be made, 35 have been assembled so far. (U.S. Air Force Photo/ Tech. Sgt. Ryan Labadens)
