Major Chad Gibson, chief of Public Affairs, "tweets" about the Air Force's first-ever media day flight for internet bloggers as participants blog in the background. Bloggers from across the nation flew on the WC-130J Hurricane Hunter aircraft, learning about the Reserve weather mission. This pioneering event was the first of many hosted by the 403rd Wing focused on new media.
More than 200 kids from Pass Road Elementary school in Gulfport, Miss., packed into the library May 6 to watch as members of the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron and the 815th Airlift Squadron signed their names on a wall size mural painted in honor of their service. Colonel Fox and other Citizen Airmen from the Hurricane Hunters and Flying Jennies squadrons of the 403rd Wing visited Pass Road Elementary school to autograph a mural painted in the library in their honor.
Just two weeks into his new job as the Air Force Reserve Command's vice commander, Maj. Gen. Martin Mazick visited reservists from the 403rd Wing for a town hall meeting May 2 at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. The general discussed the Air Force budget, the association program, manning levels, suicide prevention, the new AFRC command chief and the future of AFRC. Later that day, General Mazick was the guest of honor at the promotion ceremony for Brig. Gen. James Muscatell, 403rd Wing commander.

Bill Braack, retired Air Force Reservist and driver of the Air Force Reserve Jet Car, taunts Lucas Oil stunt plane pilot moments before they race on the flightline the N'Awlins Air Show held in New Orleans May 2-3. Flying nearly 300 mph, the jet car tied with the stunt plane for a photo finish.

Staff Sgt. Victor Myrick films a formation skydiving team called MP4 at a competion in Atlanta, Ga. Sergeant Myrick is part of the 41st Aerial Port Squadron and is a licensed master skydiver. Sergeant Myrick's job is to keep them in the video screen of his camera to higher the score in competion.
