Colonel LaFave visited the Gulfport, Miss., organization May 19 with Master Sgt. Chasity Roush, 815th Airlift Squadron, and Chaplain (Maj.) Ray Thompson, 403rd Wing chaplain. Military members and their families from along the Gulf Coast were treated to military appreciation night at the Mississippi Surge hockey game Feb. 18 when they took on the Pensacola Ice Flyers. The 403rd Wing Recruiting Service served as a game sponsor and displayed the game jersey the Wing received as a 'thank you' from the Surge.
