Commander extends holiday greetings

KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- The holidays are often a time in which we reflect on the past year: successes, accomplishments, joys, celebrations and challenges. I have personally faced some challenges and even disappointments this past year, but I choose to focus on my blessings, good fortune, friendships and family. These are the things that sustain, motivate and excite me. This holiday season is also a time to focus on the future. I welcome, with optimism, the next chapter in the journey, this time called 2014.

As your commander, I thank each and every one of you for all you do for our nation, defending freedom and our way of life. I am so very appreciative of each and every member of the 403d Wing, your families who support you all year long, and your civilian employers who make sacrifices so you can serve. Savor the time you have with your family and friends; and thank them for their commitments to you and to our nation.

Many of our wing members will not be able to celebrate the holidays with their loved ones this year. Please keep our deployed members and their families in your thoughts or prayers.

Kelley and I are truly blessed and thrilled to be a part of the 403d family. We wish you a safe and happy holiday season. As you enjoy the well-deserved break, take care of each other so we will be ready to tackle the challenges and celebrate our successes in the New Year.
