KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- This has been an incredible and busy year for the 403rd Wing.

Our Flying Jennies achieved full operational capability and are ready to join the fight on their first deployment in several years. The Hurricane Hunters completed one of the busiest storm seasons in history with nearly every mission into a dozen storms on time and on target. Our defenders and aeromedical personnel both completed total force training with our sister services that went above and beyond what is required of them, sharpening skills that will give them the cutting edge when they’re called to duty.

We have been innovating and excelling on every front, and the work you do for this wing makes an incredible impact on our ability to accomplish the mission. Also, we couldn’t have achieved anything this year without our maintainers, medics, port dawgs, recruiters, force support, logistics, communications and wing staff personnel.

Each and every one of you are critical to our success, and I can’t begin to thank you enough for everything you do.

As 2017 comes to an end, I encourage you to take some time to reflect on the wins and lessons learned from this year. I’d also encourage you to think ahead, to plan for next year and to add all important events to our wing strategic calendar.

But more importantly, this is the time of year that we have the most opportunity to take a step back, decompress and focus on what matters most — connecting with our loved ones. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, be safe and enjoy every moment of this magical time of year.
