Highlights from Keesler AFB Air Show, Open House

Approximately 155,000 people attended the "Thunder on the Bay" Air Show and Open House at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, March 28-29. This was Keesler's first air show since 2011, and featured 17 aerial acts, 27 static displays and was headlined by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Aerial Demonstration Team. The 403rd Wing's 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron "Hurricane Hunters" had two WC-130J static displays, and the 815th Airlift Squadron "Flying Jennies" also had two static displays and dropped 334th Training Squadron combat controllers who jumped out of the back of the C-130J at 12,000 feet and parachuted onto the Keesler AFB flightline both days of the event.
