Wing announces first quarter award winners

The 403rd Wing announced its first quarter award winners for the Jan. 1 through April. 30 period. Winners were chosen in the Airman, noncommissioned officer, senior NCO, company and field grade officer categories.

 

Airman of the Quarter: Senior Airman Kenneth Redeemer

Unit: 403rd Operations Support Squadron

Duty title: Aircrew Flight Equipment Technician

Years of service: 3

Latest accomplishment: “I recently began working at the Biloxi Veterans Hospital. I like being around older veterans and hearing them talk about what they’ve done throughout their years of service.”

 

NCO of the Quarter: Tech. Sgt. John Douglas

Unit: 403rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

Duty title: Aerospace Propulsion Technician

Years of service: 8

Latest accomplishment: “Making technical sergeant and my four-year wedding anniversary. I look forward to mentoring my peers, the added responsibilities and passing on my knowledge and expertise onto our up-and-coming Airmen.”  

 

SNCO of the Quarter: Master Sgt. Joshua Finkelstein

Unit: 5th Operational Weather Flight

Duty: Training Element Chief and Unit Training Manager

Years of service: 15

Latest accomplishment: “I am currently filing the active-duty operations superintendent position for the 28th Operational Weather Squadron. It has been a fantastic learning opportunity. I truly enjoy seeing how the decisions made by the operations team directly affects the squadron’s ongoing support of wartime missions.”

 

CGO of the Quarter: Capt. Gabriel Kasovich

Unit: 403rd Aeromedical Staging Squadron

Duty title: Optometrist

Years of service: 4    

Latest accomplishment: “I recently completed Squadron Officer School. While it was a challenge to balance school, work, and family, I learned a tremendous amount about the inner workings of the Air Force that I will be able to utilize for the rest of my military career.”

Unit: 403rd Wing

Duty title: Director of Inspections

Years of service: 17    

Latest accomplishment: “Wrapping up the joint hurricane exercise virtually with Keesler key leadership, due to social distancing and prepping for the next (unit effectiveness inspection).”

 

Civilian of the Quarter Category I: Delandrea Jeske-Knight

Unit: 36th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron

Duty title: Unit Program Coordinator

Years of service: 2

Latest accomplishment: “Winning this award, it means a lot to me because my superiors think highly of me to deserve this. I feel very proud and appreciative.”

 

Civilian of the Quarter Category II: Master Sgt. Leatrice Pierce

Unit: 403rd OSS

Duty title: Aircrew Flight Equipment

Years of service: 16

Latest accomplishment: “I was recently accepted into the University of Alabama for a master’s program in social work. I am very excited and look forward to furthering my academics.”
