KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- The Force Integration Support Team has published guidance stating that effective March 17 all Official Fitness Assessment Testing is cancelled until June.
“Unit fitness monitors should reach out to our Reserve Citizen Airmen and encourage them to maintain their fitness,” said Senior Master Sgt. Lisa Baldelli, 403rd Force Support Squadron sustainment superintendent. “Even with gym closings our Airmen can do self-directed fitness, like go for a walk, run, do their push-ups and sit-ups at home. Even though fitness assessments are cancelled until June we encourage everyone to stay fit and healthy, especially now.”
For those members who are due their official fitness assessment between March and May, a Commander Composite Exemption will be completed by the UFMs.
- Members who are due for their Official Fitness Assessment in March will test in 6 months, September
- Members who are due for their Official Fitness Assessment in April will test in 6 months, October
- Members who are due for their Official Fitness Assessment in May will test in 6 months, November
Fitness Assessment Cells must ensure that Air Force Fitness Management System (AFFMS II) is updated to reflect a Commander Composite Exemption on each member who is due for their Official Fitness Assessment in March, April and May. FACs must also ensure the expiration dates reflect the same due dates indicated above to prevent members going into a non-current status.
Fitness Testing will resume June 1 unless further guidance is published.
