403rd Reservists Sweep 2009 AFRC Media Contest

Citizen Airmen from the 403rd Wing claimed six awards in the 2009 Air Force Reserve Commands Media Contest, with five going on to compete at Air Force level.

Reservists and civilian employees from 19 AFRC units submitted 163 entries to the command contest. Winners were announced on Feb. 23 by Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner Jr., AFRC commander.

Former 403rd Wing Public Affairs Chief Lt. Col. Chad Gibson won best pictorial photograph, and Master Sgt. Michael Duhe won best news photograph.

Tech. Sgt. Ryan Labadens took first place for his graphic art entry, and Tech. Sgt. Tanya King won best combat documentation photo.

Senior Airman Tabitha Dupas won best sports article and took second place for her portrait/personality photograph.

The five first place award winning entries will advance to the 2009 Air Force Media Contest in Washington D.C.

Results of the Air Force Media Contest are expected to be announced in March.
