Base and Biloxi residents may hear an increase in noise over the weekend as the Air Force Reserve’s 403rd Wing will be conducting a readiness exercise Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the November Unit Training Assembly.

“Our mission is to train and equip Airmen to provide combat-ready forces to answer our nation’s call,” said Col. Robert J. Stanton, vice wing commander of more than 1,500 reservists. “Exercises such as this ensure our Citizen Airmen maintain the highest levels of proficiency and readiness.”

Sirens, alarms and loudspeaker announcements may be used to simulate a realistic environment where personnel will train in self-aid and buddy care, chemical warfare detection, and the ability to survive and operate in a deployed environment. This exercise is similar to the one wing personnel performed in November 2017 and is an annual requirement for the wing.
