Do you have suggestions, a recommendation, or just want to express a concern about something going on within the wing? Well, now you can.

The 403rd Wing commander, Col. Jennie R. Johnson, has implemented a direct line of communication for all personnel to share their ideas or concerns with wing leadership by placing suggestion boxes throughout the wing buildings.

“These boxes are intended to further ease the communication between all personnel and their leadership,” said Col. Robert J. Stanton, 403rd Wing vice commander. “These boxes are a tool created to provide a safe forum for your ideas and concerns to be delivered to the commander in hopes of continuing to make the 403rd, the wing of choice.”

“More often than not, issues affecting productivity or work satisfaction are not easily known by leadership despite the extensive efforts by any leadership at increasing engagement and awareness,” said Nicole Mayzner, the 403rd Wing director of Psychological Health. “The boxes provide a direct opportunity for you to make leadership aware of problems, which you cannot expect to be fixed if we are not all communicating and working together.”

The information placed in the suggestion boxes can be submitted anonymously, but if any wing member would like to receive a personal response when using the commander's suggestion box, please leave your name, unit, and telephone number.

“When a member leaves their contact information, this provides leadership the chance to speak with you about what is being done or to ask any follow up questions that may come up,” said Stanton. “If the response to your idea or concern is relevant to others in the wing, it will be published on the wing’s SharePoint site and in monthly updates.

In addition, the 403rd wing values process improvements and implementing changes to further strengthen the wing. We are all a part of this wing, so the suggestion boxes provide direct means for any ideas you may have that can contribute to increasing productivity and the overall success of this wing.”

According to Mayzner, the suggestion boxes will be placed throughout the wing and checked on a bi-weekly basis.

Boxes can be found in the Wing headquarters building on the wall next to the inside staircase, the Mission Support Group building, 904, in the hallway near the bathrooms, the 53rd building by the main entrance doors, and the Roberts Consolidated Maintenance Facility building by the break room outside of the auditorium.
